If you could sit down and dream up the perfect format for creative web site design and development training, what would you put in and what would you leave out? If you could mix in some of the brightest star guest speakers with the industry's most up-to-date information and set everything in an atmosphere that makes learning creative, you would think yourself very lucky. Say hello to the For A Beautiful Web series of web design master-classes.
Starting in the UK in 2008, For A Beautiful Web is a series of web design master-classes covering topics including visual design for the web, best-practice mark-up and progressive CSS, cool Microformats and practical web accessibility design and techniques. We keep our audiences small so that everyone will get individual attention and we back up the knowledge that you will go home with, with the highest quality take away materials.
For A Beautiful Web is launching in December with a one-off special event in London, a Web Design Master-class, followed by a series of master-classes across the UK and abroad in 2009. You can read a little more about our plans in our Introducing For A Beautiful Web blog post.
Please help us to decide on our venues and as a reward, one week before we announce the dates and venues of our master-classes to the world, we will send you an email with details of how to book your place early, before the crowds.
More than just events
We want For A Beautiful Web to be more than just about events, so in our blog we will be posting articles and screen-casts on creative web design related topics and linking to other inspiring articles from web designers around the world. If you haven't already done it, add our RSS feed to your feed reader.
We are really excited about For A Beautiful Web and to meeting new people along the way. We hope we will see you there.

Andy Clarke
Andy Clarke has been called a lot of things since he started working on the web ten years ago. His ego likes words like ambassador for CSS
, industry prophet
and inspiring
, but actually he is most proud that Jeffrey Zeldman once called him a bastard
.
Andy is a member of the Web Standards Project and a former invited expert to the W3C’s CSS Working Group. He took ten months out of his life to write the best-selling book Transcending CSS: The Fine Art Of Web Design, but Andy's passion is amazing web design. He loves making desigs for the web, writing about design and teaching it at workshops and conferences all of the world.
Now he is pulling all of those passions together to create For A Beautiful Web, a unique series of web design master-classes that cover topics including visual design, best-practice use of technologies such as CSS, as well as geeky stuff like Microformats.
